Mr. Caleb Carver is a Fourth Grade Teacher at American Classical Academy Rutherford, and this is his eighth year as a classroom teacher. His background has mainly been middle and high school social studies, but having taught a variety of grade levels, age groups, and content strands — and thoroughly enjoying working with children — led him to elementary.

Mr. Carver holds a Bachelor’s in History from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and a Master of Education from Tennessee State University, and he has lived abroad twice.

He was drawn to ACAR and classical education because he values a low-tech, teacher-led classroom that focuses on training a child’s mind and character through the timeless pursuit of truth, justice, and civic virtue.

Mr. Carver is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and he loves to travel, read books, go to sporting events, and go hiking with his dog.
