Dr. Beck, PhD, MBA
Fourth Grade Teacher
Born in Canada, Dr. Beck immigrated to the United States in 1998, after working on multiple cross-border, technology-based business initiatives. Dr. Beck’s business experience is grounded in extended projects throughout Canada, the United States, the UK, Europe, and South Asia. Dr. Beck’s has supported his practical contributions as a learner and a teacher of others with a BSc in Business, an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, Tempe. Dr. Beck completed his PhD in I/O Psychology (Behavioral and Organizational Psychology) from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix.
His research focused on the behavioral gap that exists between leaders and followers. Dr. Beck’s experiences, as a lifelong learner, have evolved into an interest in improving the relationships between leaders and followers through education and performance-based exercises.
In his study of collaboration between leaders and followers, Dr. Beck discovered his passion for developing people of all ages. The opportunity to work with young minds, to experience the learning process through their eyes, and to create an environment for learning. In doing so, Dr. Beck will encourage open communication among the students to instill confidence in themselves and a sense of contribution toward their peers.
His study of human behavior, and how we learn, leads him to believe that working with young students will be rewarding as he engages the students to exchange and learn from each other. Dr. Beck is excited to teach 4th grade.
