Karina Smithson
Permanent Substitute
Ms. Karina Smithson serves American Classical Academy Rutherford as a Permanent Substitute.
She holds an Associate’s degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a passion for understanding and nurturing the whole person. Ms. Smithson moved to Middle Tennessee a little over a year ago and is grateful to be part of the school community.
She loves the beauty of classical education and its focus on cultivating wisdom, virtue, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. As a Christian, her greatest passion is following Christ and being a disciple for God’s Kingdom. She feels blessed to serve students and families in a community that values both academic excellence and the formation of character and faith.
Ms. Smithson lives in Middle Tennessee with her husband and their two children.
