What your child wears
PLEASE NOTE: Max & Alice is our exclusive school uniform vendor. To maintain a consistent and uniform appearance for all students, please ensure that all uniform purchases are made through Max & Alice. We kindly ask that you refrain from purchasing uniform items from other brands.
At American Classical Academy Rutherford, students wear uniforms to eliminate distractions, to demonstrate respect for others and ourselves, and to remind ourselves that we are doing important work and participating in significant learning. Please read through the 2024-25 Uniform Policy below before making purchases:
02 — Supply Lists
What to buy, by grade
Download the 2026-27 supply list for your student’s grade below. Questions about supplies may be directed to your child’s teacher or the Main Office.
03 — Breakfast & After Care
Before and after the school day
Breakfast, $3. Before-school care has been replaced by school breakfast, served each morning for $3. Breakfast is paid from your family’s meal balance in The ACAR Account; families approved for free or reduced-price meals pay their approved rate.
After Care. After Care runs every school day until 6:00 p.m. and is managed through The ACAR Account. Sign in, open the Aftercare tab, and choose Add to Aftercare for your child. You can choose every day (Monday to Friday) at the weekly price, only the days you need at the daily price, or pay ahead for a whole month. Our After Care staff confirm each place.
After Care is not held on days school is closed, and the weekly price is reduced for any closed day that week.
Late pick-up. Students who are not registered for After Care and are picked up after 3:45 p.m. are charged a $15 late-pickup fee. Any pick-up after 6:05 p.m. is charged $5 per minute.

- After Care, some days: $15/day
- After Care, paid by the month: $12 per school day
04 — Carpooling
Getting to and from school
Families are responsible for getting their child to and from campus. Many arrange carpools; a local provider also runs transportation for ACAR families.
