Adnan Mehmedovic

Adnan Mehmedovic is in his third year as Facilities Coordinator at American Classical Academy Rutherford (ACAR).

Adnan Mehmedovic has worked in facilities services for nearly 20 years, and he has worked in this same building for almost two decades. As an employee, he takes pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained campus where students and teachers can thrive.

He believes in the school’s mission and classical curriculum. One principle that stands out to him is that “education is the pursuit of truth,” and he sees the value of that pursuit every day, not only in what students learn but in the character, discipline, and love of learning the school works to develop in them. He especially appreciates ACAR’s teachers and staff, who genuinely care about every student and work hard to help each one succeed. His favorite quotation is Jean Piaget’s “The aim of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover.”

Adnan Mehmedovic is the proud father of two children who attend ACAR, and as a parent he sees firsthand the difference the faculty make in his children’s lives. He looks forward to serving students, families, and staff for many years to come.
