Merit Ibraheem
Art Teacher
Ms. Merit Ibraheem is the Art Teacher at American Classical Academy Rutherford (ACAR). Ms. Ibraheem has a dual background in Education and Arts.
Ms. Ibraheem previously taught Philosophy and Psychology and has always been passionate about guiding young minds. Moving into the art classroom allows her to combine her love of creative expression with her foundation in teaching, and she finds great joy in inspiring students to explore their artistic talents while fostering an appreciation for beauty, order, and creative thinking.
Ms. Ibraheem loves being part of a community that values truth, goodness, and beauty. Teaching art in a classical setting allows her to help students discover how creativity reflects order and excellence, encouraging them to grow both intellectually and in virtue. A favorite quotation, from Pablo Picasso: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”
Ms. Ibraheem is a wife and mother of three daughters, two of whom attend ACAR.
