Mr. Harris
Second Grade Teacher
Grayson Harris is a Second Grade teacher at ACAR.
Grayson grew up in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where he learned to love classical education at a very young age. He was a homeschooled student enrolled in Classical Conversations and went on to receive a degree in Communication Arts (with Honors, summa cum laude) at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
Grayson has been a scholar of philosophy, literature, and political thought surrounding classical ideas and virtue ethics for years, and began his foray into education by coaching middle schoolers in speech and debate. Since then, he has written for the Classical Learning Test Journal and worked as a reading tutor at Lindamood-Bell Learning Resources. He is excited to help students develop and practice their faculties in reading, thinking, and communicating so they can appreciate (and create) works that are “true, good, and beautiful”.
An American Classical Education
Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on language, content-rich subjects, a solid foundation of core knowledge, and an in-depth exploration of the historical, literary, and scientific legacies of both the United States and Western civilization.
