Student Services Director
Tonya Iturri is the Student Services Director at American Classical Academy Rutherford.
Mrs. Iturri is a dedicated and passionate teacher with 15 years of experience in public education. She attended the University of Nevada Reno where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and a minor in Developmental Disabilities. After moving to Tennessee in 2001, she worked in higher education administration for several years before attending Belmont University to earn her Master’s in Teaching with an emphasis in special education.
Mrs. Iturri is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience working with students and educators in academic and behavior-tiered interventions. Throughout her career, she has received several awards and recognition for her work in this area. She has had the opportunity to present at conferences and lead professional development workshops for colleagues sharing her expertise and passion for creating a positive climate and culture for all students.
Mrs. Iturri strongly believes that every child has unique strengths and potential. She is committed to creating a supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered while continuing to hold all students to high expectations.
