Ms. Linton
Music Teacher
Ms. Charis Linton has studied various guitar styles from classical to pop-rock, focusing on jazz guitar. She graduated from Hillsdale College summa cum laude with a degree in music and a minor in general business. In addition to guitar (and piano), Charis is trained in classical voice, jazz voice, jazz bass, and ukulele, and performed in various choirs and bands. She also has assisted in running and managing summer music camps in Taiwan, where she grew up and her family serves as missionaries. There, she has seen how music can bring students together of all ages and backgrounds and educate them about history, math, dance, and cultures.
Ms. Linton is excited to join ACAR as a music teacher. She is eager to instill a love of music in her students, to teach students as many songs as possible, especially the Star Spangled Banner, and to start a student choir and a jazz band.
