Mr. Bob Niedzielski

Robert J. Niedzielski, “Mr. Bob”

Third Grade Teacher

My name is Bob Niedzielski. I hold a BA in International Studies from The American University in Washington, DC and an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language/Intercultural Studies from Columbia International University in South Carolina. I am originally from upstate New York (the real New York!), but have lived in middle Tennessee for almost 24 years.

I have taught mainly English Learners both overseas and in South Carolina and Tennessee, public and private, elementary and high school and recently gained an additional certification in World History.

One of the first things people notice about me is my last name. All of my great grandparents immigrated from Poland. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, I studied and then taught in my ancestral homeland where I learned the language and eventually met my wife. She is an English Learner and I am a Polish Learner.

I am passionate about my Polish heritage, but realize my name may be difficult for English Learners and our younger students to pronounce. Thus, I have been “Mr. Bob” for most of my teaching career.

I have over twenty years of teaching experience, but this is my first year in a classical school. I am very impressed by ACAR’s commitment to focus on virtues and character development among our students.

Poznawaj prawdę. Czyń dobro. Kochaj piękno. (Learn the truth. Do good. Love the beautiful.)

An American Classical Education

Our curriculum places a strong emphasis on language, content-rich subjects, a solid foundation of core knowledge, and an in-depth exploration of the historical, literary, and scientific legacies of both the United States and Western civilization.
